Taylor Swift fooled us all. 🇬🇧

Everybody thought she would be announcing Reputation Taylor’s Version during the Grammys Ceremony, she fooled us all. 

Taylor Swift, while giving her acceptance speech for the Best Pop Vocal Album award for « Midnights » thanked the fans with more that they could’ve ever wanted : a new album. 

The day before, her instagram profile picture turned black and white, and her friends (Lana Del Rey, Jack Antonoff, Ice Spice, Sabrina Carpenter) showed up at the Grammys dressed in black. 

Swifties were highly convinced that Rep TV was dropping before the end of the night. 

But then, the singer declared ; « I wanna say thank you to the fans, by telling you a secret that I’ve been keeping from you for the last two years. Which is that my brand new album comes out April 19th. It’s called The Tortured Poet Department ». 

When you think about it, it’s not that crazy. She usually drops an album every two years, and her last dates back to 2022. You do the math. 

But it’s still very surprising since no one was expecting it. Though, I saw a Tik Tok made before the Grammys by a girl saying « what if she announce a brand new album instead of Reputation TV ?? ». She guessed right. 

Now, we just have to wait until April 19th, which seems like in a thousand years. It’s time to start guessing which genre it’s going to be (I will make content about it for sure) ! For that, we only have the album cover and the album’s name. But it is more that enough for the fans. Swifties, time to shine ✨!
